The Nehemiah Center of Navasota provides a safe haven for at-risk elementary children in the Navasota community. The center is an after-school program for the students that provides a safe and loving environment that will enhance spiritual, personal, academic and social growth in the children.

Kappa Kappa Gamma prides itself in sending a group of Kappas to the Nehemiah Center every school day of the year. We love spending time with the kids and love being able to support them not only financially, but being there for them in person as mentors and helpers!

What is Nehemiah?

The Nehemiah Center of Navasota began in 2009 with the mission of "Neighbors helping neighbors create a safe haven in which children are motivated, inspired and equipped to realize their potential." This vision of helping develop a child's sense of self-worth, Christian values, and direction that will ensure their lifetime self-determination is one that Nehemiah supports in their ultimate goal. Nehemiah runs an after-school program for children Monday through Friday, where a healthy snack, Bible lessons and homework tutoring are provided. Nehemiah continues to grow even today and is looking to grow in the community as they are able.
